Tigernuts are a fantastic bait because they are extremely hard and therefore more selective when targeting carp. The hardness also makes tigernuts suitable as hook bait.

To use tigernuts as bait, they need to be soaked for at least 24 hours and then boiled for 20-30 minutes. After that, they are ready to use. You can also leave them in the water for 2-3 days until they ferment and form a sweet slime that attracts carp.
